Pretrial Services supervises Personal Recognizance bonds and court-ordered conditions that may include reporting, court appearances, drug testing, treatment, special-needs supervision, GPS or electronic monitoring, alcohol monitoring, ignition interlock, or domestic-violence conditions. Staff monitors compliance but does not replace the person’s defense attorney.
Eligibility
People released in Bexar County under Pretrial Services or court-ordered bond conditions. Only the court can change or remove a condition.
What to bring
Keep the release order, conditions, case number, officer name, court dates, reporting records, receipts, testing or treatment records, and proof of any barrier. Do not store these records in LifePath.
Hours and access
Walk-in or appointment
Contact the assigned officer immediately when transportation, work, housing, treatment, payment, or technology could prevent compliance. Ask for written instructions and notify the defense attorney. Never stop reporting or remove monitoring equipment without written court authorization. Verify payment demands because Pretrial Services warns that it does not collect through Cash App, Apple Pay, wire transfer, or home visits.
